Let’s jump right in! A problem we have in the worlds of spirituality, is that people hold onto little objects and ideas from their time in their society. And sure, that can be a good thing in some scenarios, but not all of them. We have many problems and delusions as a society, but the main things that we need to forget are;
- People are a not all the same. People can be better than other people, or higher on the pyramid depending on factors like socioeconomic status, age, race, popularity and progression in career.
- People are inherently evil or greedy. It is a natural impulse to be greedy, and people do not care if their greed indirectly or directly affects others, or even the progress of society, an organisation or even a country. All attempts to build a fairer society will fail, as all people are greedy and unequal.
- Social events like parties, family gatherings, board game nights, etc are good for us, because they make us feel good. We should try to minimize time alone for recreation, work on personal projects and constructive thinking, as it is unhealthy and not pleasurable.
- Academic schooling is good for our children. We should encourage children to go to school and listen to the teacher. The current system of schooling is good, and it does not indoctrinate our children. Alternative schooling is a hassle and is not good for our children. We should keep our children in the mainstream system and punish our children when they complain.
- Punitive measures in our prisons (and society in general)are good and effective. Prisoners are there because they have broken the law, and they should be treated like scum. We should not try to rehabilitate them, as the rule of law should always be respected.
- Not everything is as deep as people make it down to be. What people do, think and feel is not that important. What the world is, how it works and what it does is not important either. It would be better if we stopped over-complicating things and just were happy.
- Money is a real thing, and it should be the end goal of our pursuits. Those who push it away are lost and those who seek it are respectable. Freedom is misused when we give it to people. Illegal immigrants will flood our borders if we let them, and the youth will make up identities for attention. Political ideology that is slightly far away from the center is dangerous and should not be entertained
I can imagine some people reading this may think “but this is what i was raised on!”. Consider this, you were raised by parents who wanted an easy day-to-day life instead of a free thinking, well rounded child, you were taught by a school system that was designed to create obedient workers who knew naught about the reality of their situation, you are ruled over by a government that will not only let thousands die of hunger, they will let corporations increase prices and blame it on a foreign war with no repercussions! You are then dragged down into the bucket of crabs by your friends, and any attempt at independent action or thinking is shot down as nonsense. Your parents want to make you an easy child, a good eater, your school wants to make you an obedient child, a good listener, and your government wants you to be a quiet, submissive good citizen. And nobody questions it. Nobody really questions it.
Â
Forget everything you know, and bask in freedom.
Â
So, what to do? The first thing to do is to is to check yo theory and how it works with your action. For example, one can say that they respect children, and agree that disrespecting children’s rights is disrespecting human rights, yet, in the same day, still call their child a half-human when they are slightly annoying the next day. You must understand that you can agree with noble ideas in theory, but i can imagine there has been many a serial killer who values the sanctity of human life! It’s simply an issue of self awareness. Develop it, make sure you don’t do things because they are simply easy, do things because they are good. Make an effort, and push away the urge to be lazy, you must fight!
The second thing, spend around two weeks (spread out of course) alone. Take in these progressive ideals, and mull them over. You may read this whole book and only understand it at 6:30 on a tuesday, making a sandwich. You also may realize other things, you might realize spiritual truths, you might achieve a deeper understanding of a social situation or you might understand how to integrate noble ideals into your day-to-day life. This philosophy is not about learning. It is not about information. It is about knowing, it is about understanding. We do not take the same stance as, for example the average mainstream school. You can read all this, i can even stand in front of you and read it to you, but if you do not understand the message it does not matter. You have to truly know it, you have to understand it.
You need time alone to think. Intellectualize! Know! Understand! Internalize! You cannot do this at a social gathering, unless it is an insanely productive debate or conversation, you also cannot do this while actively watching media such as tv shows or movies. Specifically movies. Simply, you must choose self-betterment and understanding over material pleasure, just for a while. You should have lots of time alone, as a regular thing. One last important thing, you do not have to constantly be thinking about whatever you have read. It will come naturally. All practice should be natural. It may seem strange, but just trust the process, spend a few days alone and wait for one to three realizations that might just change your entire worldview to flow in.
One last thing in this section before we move on, about the first and second thing everyone needs to forget from their societal programming. This is the concept of the One.
All humans possess a soul, spirit, consciousness, etc. When they are born they are a human, correct? A rich white baby is no higher or lower than a poor black baby. Because there is no intrinsic human hierarchy. No human is higher or lower than another. Your treatment of others should entirely be on their action, and not on what they are. There are those who argue that children should be treated differently because they are less developed, but this rhetoric is simply conformation bias for a bigoted philosophy. They posses the facility to have internal experience, they posses spirit, they think, move and act. They are people. They must be treated as people. This is something quite a lot of people are in denial about, and if you are new to spirituality or philosophy like this, i would suggest you keep this idea in your mind for a few weeks and come to logical conclusions about it.
Humans are not inherently selfish, greedy, or evil either. This sneaky little disease of a thought was planted in the collective consciousness when the west wanted to vilify communism and alternative thought, because god forbid we move to a fairer society and government. It was hard for them to justify capitalism, a system that kills billions every ten years and that has no real justification, so instead they said “But it’s just human nature!”. This argument has no real backing and is a lie.Â
So, let’s pick this apart. Firstly, man lived for thousands of years in the stone and bronze ages with no real country, with no real leaders. And this isn’t because they are just stupid, it’s because they were actually collaborating, they were working together, they were collaborating, in an early form of Harmonium. If capitalism was natural, they would have all killed each other, but instead they lived fair lives.
To insist that humans are, without being taught “goodness”, greedy, insists that goodness comes from intellect whilst greed comes from instinct. Why are children honest, why do they share? Why do monkeys share a nut when they could easily eat the whole thing? It has essentially been proven that altruism is an intrinsic human property. The problem society has is what i call subconscious poison.Â
This flavor of subconscious poison makes people think that greed is a natural impulse, not a subconscious one that has been put there by western post-industrial revolution society and the government. Now, i can’t explain what this is in great detail with words because i am stupid, so i will give some examples of the superspreaders of this disease and from there you should be able to figure it out. These are things that would be said to children at a young age.
“Go in and get another slice, go on!”
“He’s just greedy.
“We share in this classroom” (implying that the default is not sharing)
Along with comments like these, children are met with raucous laughter and applause when they do anything slightly greedy. This is approval, acceptance of greed that draws a line between greed and materialistic pleasure in the minds of the child, that is only reinforced by the school system and their parents.
Altruism is natural, but there are lots of almost fake things we have in society, and what we should be doing is extending the innate goodness of the child to our societal concepts.
Again, you can agree with anything in theory but the most important thing that you can do it bring that theory into practice. You must gain self-awareness to a degree that you can “theory check” the things you do in your day to day life. For example, if it comes naturally to you to shout at your child if they knock over a drink, theory check that the next time that scenario comes around and teach them how to clean it up. The things you don’t think about should be the things you think about the most. Bring your theory into practice.
Inner realization is extremely important in freeing yourself from the chains of society, and in my opinion a good way of doing this is observing things that happen in your everyday life from the perspective of someone who lives in a faraway, utopian land. Using their insight from being from a place that is truly free, they would understand that crimes with fines are only a crime for the poor, that division among similar groups ruins our society and that people who argue that the government doesn’t want us to be little worker ants are stupid.Â
This outside perspective of a utiopian visitor will seriously bring some new insight into the things you do everyday without thinking about. Why are you getting angry at your child for something you have never taught them? Why do you care if these idolized “swear words” are televised before 9pm? Why do none of your peers think about religion and higher truths? Speaking of truths;
- Most mainstream fiction movies, tv shows and other major media types have a subtle agenda that puts down religious/spiritual organisations, religious/spiritual people, and mocks anyone who approach any everyday topic with seriousness
- This strange trivialization of serious topics is almost always joined with a strange misconception of “science”, in where scientists always win debates and the stereotypical spiritual scammer cannot formulate a decent reply
- Religious/spiritual organisations are almost never wrote about in the news in a positive manner
- All of these things combined, along with another flavor of subconscious poison presents the general public with a misconstrued idea of atheist “science” as more sensible than religion/spirituality. These things make philosophers and religious leaders seem like untrustworthy, irrational, almost laughable conmen, and this effect pushes the vox populi away from serious topics and towards stupid trivial topics like movies, social situations and food.
I highly recommend that you read this, and keep it in your mind. The next time you’re watching an (awful) show like family guy, try to find links between this theory and the actual media.
You will find that the main reason people are getting dumber, attendance to places of worship is shrinking, historically renowned philosophies are dying and why the vox populi does not care that they will all die in about fifty years due to a crisis that the media tries to downplay as much as it can.Â
You will find the problem of the west, and the world in general, really. The reactionary nature of post-industrial revolution society, and the ones who try to uphold it. The trivialization of seriousness, and the rejection of religion by the masses
